The cup allows a lubricant capacity of about 2 liters greater than the standard one.

The product is configured as a real kit including, in addition to the cup, the internal flap bulkhead, screws, accessories and an attractive aluminum load cap, which signals to those who perform maintenance the greater capacity of lubricant.

One of the main problems of sports engines is heat. High temperature is the cause of many damages, such as the wear of mechanical components, micro gripping that cause loss of torque, abnormal consumption, loss of engine oil characteristics, etc.

For this reason, the lubricating quantity of each engine is determined by the manufacturer with the utmost care. However, sometimes you feel the need to have something more, perhaps because you take advantage of the mechanics in some delicious occasion or in particular conditions of use.

oil ranges from 3.5 liters up to 10-12 liters of supercars.
In the specific case of the 500 Abarth and the Punto Abarth this value is at the limit. The oil cup of the Abarth is sized for the power stock and therefore in the case of increased power consumption could be undersized.
Under these conditions of use there would be a sharp increase in temperature in no time and the oil, failing to cool during its working cycle, would deteriorate very quickly.
