FIRST EXPANSION
Studio Associato Prometeo expands its staff and invests in new calculation and design tools, essential for dealing with global companies customers.
PROTOTYPE MAKERS
The engineering activity is combined with the construction of prototypes of transmission units to finalize some projects for customers. The company structure adapts to this new need and «Prometeo srl» is born.
AUTOMOTIVE AND FIRST ELECTRICAL TRANSITIONS
Prometeo's involvement in the automotive gearbox sector grews up, in particular for Automated Manual (AMT) and Dual Clutch (DCT) systems.
PROMETEO PRODUCTS
Taking advantage of the know-how gained in mechanical transmissions, Prometeo begins the development of its own automotive products, which it designs internally and then produces in series. This year saw the debut of the Giunto Panda 4×4, a successful component still on the market. The Products division is created alongside the Design division.
PROJECTS IN OTHER FIELDS
Other companies of primary importance make use of Prometeo's design and engineering services in fields other than traditional ones. These are Oil & Gas and machinery in the food sector, in which significant multi-year collaborations are undertaken.
INCREASE OF PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
The product division increases its portfolio, consisting of different models of self-locking differentials, with the Increased Oil Pan for 500 Abarth, a product much appreciated by Italian and international tuners.
IRACE TUBULAR CAR
The project of the «Irace» tubular car, conceived and developed completely within Prometeo, finds its goal in the prototype set-up and in the fun tests on the track and on the road.
INNOVATION HYBRID AND ELECTRIC PROJECTS
Prometeo continues to be involved in several important projects related to hybridisation and electrification of transmissions in the agricultural machinery field. The design division is increasingly skilled in innovation and it’s able to transform an idea into a project.
